For our second Berkshire Talent Showcase we had 23 performers ranging in age from 4 to 17 years.
The variety of acts was superb, from Singers, Dancers, Drummers, Pianists, Keyboards, Violinist, Ukulele and many other talented soloists including an up-and-coming 'pop' group of four boys.
A great time was had by all performers at the Second annual Berkshire Talent Showcase event. The range of talent was awesome: musicians (drums, piano, keyboard, violin, ukuele, electric guitar, and bass guitar, singers and dancers.
Take a look here at the wonderful Awards photos from the recent Berkshire Talent Showcase 2019. You will also find of photos of the performers from the two sessions held at the Whitty Theatre on Saturday 13th April 2019.
We are raising money for terminally ill children at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. The Children’s wards are in desperate need of an Oxygen Saturation Monitor and an Apnoea Monitor, these machines are £800 each. We are aiming to raise the £1600 to pay for both monitors. Any extra monies raised will be put towards other essential equipment on the RBH 'wish-list'.
Our Master of Ceremonies was the very talented local musician and musical director PAULY ZARB from Wokingham. He was supported by a very important group of volunteers: Stage Management by Cathy from Circus Scene (backstage) with Sue Hughes hosting the performers.
Our Talent showcase leaders: Margaret Balaam (Rotary Club, Wokingham) and Susan Jackson (Wokingham-In-Need charity).
On the technical side: Photography by Robert Hughes (Rotary Club), Videography by Quentin (Silk Purse Video Productions), Technical assistance - Jon Bundock (Rotary Club) and Sound and Lighting Engineer - Oliver Bamber (Whitty Theatre/Luckley School).
We also have Front-of-House volunteers from Rotary (Tim Dunn & colleagues) and friends to thank for the refreshments, drinks, raffle and co-ordination of tickets and programmes.
